  1. Note to self… remember the location of the two Snowflakes in the Pergola border when weeding! Look to the right of coral barked Acer in photo above. These ones managed to get over here all by themselves! I like where they have arrived too but don't dare move the original clump from its spot under the Cotoneaster tree and to the side of the ground bird bath. I love garden surprises πŸ˜€

  2. WOW Shirley, you have a lot blooming at this time. Seeing this makes me anxious for things to get going here. It won't be long.

  3. I have just returned from a whirl wind visit to the UK so absolutely loved this post, you have a wonderful garden – there is nothing like a British spring garden!

  4. Beautiful. Such a good idea to plant the cyclamen high up for a better view. Note to self, find some cyclamen coum for spring interest.

  5. Hello everyone, thanks for all your comments. How lovely to see the sunshine again this Sunday morning as I reply to you all πŸ™‚

Sarah, on popping over to your blog I see you love the idea of walking through swathes of daffodils. I smiled at your schemes to get teenagers on hidden garden themed days out. I succeeded on many occasions there too πŸ˜‰

Lisa, I have areas with colour and other areas with promise of it (especially the alliums) with green shoots pushing through rich dark compost mulches – I love the beauty of that. I expect that once things get going in your garden it will quickly overtake mine. It’s fun to compare with you throughout the year πŸ™‚

Sue, I have been saying that for years on GBBD – I’m delighted I finally did it. They are lovely πŸ™‚

Janneke, it is beginning which is great. I love the green shoots coming through garden borders and gravel best at this time of year although each year I add a bit of new colour which I am enjoying too πŸ™‚

Wandering Wren, ah… a blogger from down under, it is always fun to see seasonal differences in gardens such as yours. My blog began over 7 yrs ago by sharing my Scottish garden with my homesick friend living in Australia. Sadly she died in a freak accident at the beginning of the year πŸ™

L, Thank-you, yes, it was a deliberate move to raise the cyclamen to see their pretty detail. This cyclamen has been a note to self for many years – I’m delighted to have finally got there! Wishing you a quicker response time then me – it is a delight to look out on to πŸ™‚

Anna, thanks, I’ve been relying on a different camera lens and my iPhone for images this past while as my wide-angle lens was faulty. We didn’t go for a shop repair as OH did some searching on cause, got a new part and took it all apart! I was a bit of a scary sight to see in bits. Wonderfully after a few rebuilds it actually works again!!! Must get out to test it today πŸ™‚

Suzie, perhaps you are right there πŸ™‚

John, I’m trying to increase my Spring flowers a little each year πŸ™‚
