  1. What a handsome creature. So colorful. So alive. I hope they stay that way. Do you have them in your garden??

  2. I've got to say, if I saw one of those, I'd run a mile. I'm not a big fan of spiders, but having said that, I wouldn't harm them either, because they are the good guys after all.

  3. Hi Shirl, we did a piece on this fantastic spider in Saving Species, and ever since we've fallen in love with them. Very interesting reintroduction project, so well publicised

  4. Hello again everyone sorry it’s so late for replies – I’ve made up for this wordless post on my next one :-O

Christina, me neither and that’s why I asked the website if I could post the image 🙂

Lisa, very handsome! I hope they can survive too. No, I’ve never seen them in my garden but I’ll know what they are now if I do 🙂

VP, I agree. I hope you find one in your garden one day too 🙂

    Jan, absolutely!

Crystal, yes striking as this creature is – it is still a spider for those uncomfortable with them. I’m ok with spiders usually, it’s the longer legged ones I don’t like.

Angela, it is a fantastic picture and I am delighted that I have been allowed to share it 😀

Andrew, I can see why you’ve taken to this spider. There’s just something about it. It’s unforgettable that’s for sure. Good to hear this reintroduction project is being so well publicised. Hope I’ve helped a tiny bit 🙂
