Garden Visits (Video): Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh

Link collecting for Edinburgh Botanical Gardens whilst sorting/editing photos from a visit this past week picked up the video below. I’ve collected footage in the past but this one (at 6 mins 15 secs) covers all areas. I liked it and thought it would be a good one to share.

For those considering a garden visit for a day out, a holiday or if neither and a virtual garden visit fits the bill I thought I’d add it here with a post all to itself. Have yourself some garden therapy… pour a cuppa and enjoy….

This is not my video. See source on YouTube.

Sunday is probably a good day for a short video blog post. No chat, just some garden visiting images with background music. It might be fun to keep this one going as a regular theme. If anyone would like to join me please leave a link in a comment. I’ll look forward to finding new ones for each week 🙂

  1. Hi Shirl,

Next time I go to Edinburgh I'll definitely be visiting the Botanic gardens again… I want to see how the new Piet style garden has matured since we visited september 2010 🙂

  2. Hello to you all, hope you’ve had a good weekend 🙂

Liz, ah… I had a feeling you would visit this garden again. Now… I’ve been working on montages of my visit here last week. The photos of the (Piet style) Diversity Garden are getting to stand alone 😉 Always think of you when I post images of this garden. You can see some images back in April through my archives. Hope you shake off your cold soon and find a way round the new BBC Homepage design :-))

Lisa, I’m thrilled (through a video) you can virtually visit this garden all the way from SW Indiana in the US. No walking shoes or umbrella required either! I’ve got some visit photos to share next 😀

Rosie, ah yes… there are lots of gardens I think the same about. Dundee Botanics is another. It may be smaller but it has some interesting features. Guessing you know I was visiting you today. I enjoyed my browse around your pages 🙂

  3. Perfect tonic Shirl for a cold and wet day when hail has been battering the windows on and off. Have only visited EBG once but would love to return. Do not have any videos but still have photos of garden visits to share – maybe next Sunday 🙂

  4. Brilliant, Anna! Delighted you enjoyed seeing around Edin Botanics 😀

Yep… winter is tiptoeing into the UK now. Perhaps this is the perfect time for sharing garden visits. I’ve a few I’ve missed posting about myself. Maybe next Sunday then 😉
